The Application Process

Application Overview

Do you want a coveted place on our new training programme?

Transform@Lab selection procedure is open to all European media postgraduates who are either currently studying or have recently graduated (in 2012, 2011 or 2010).

While we will consider applicants from all areas of media studies however, the Transform@Lab is targeted at students from the following areas of study: Production (all genres), Direction (all genres), Games Design and Web & Mobile Phone Content Design.

Selection Criteria

Selection will be made by the consideration of CV, statement of personal and professional reasons for applying and your showreel on DVD or a link to online projects or your portfolio or work in development.

To recap, you will need to send us:

  • An application - through our online form (link below)
  • Your CV
  • Details of your portfolio of work and link to showreel if you have one
  • Proof of your status as a student or recent graduate

Bursaries for European Students

We are pleased to announce up to 3 concessionary bursaries of 50% of the fee for students based in the EU (from outside the UK) as a contribution towards the 460 euro fee for the training programme - bringing the fee to be paid down to 230 euros.

If you have checked that you are eligible to take part and would like to apply for a bursary to allow you to accept a place, if offered, please email Hannah with a letter stating why you would not be able to take part without financial support.

You may be asked to evidence your available income for 2013.

Payment

70% of the fee of 460 euro/£380 (reduced from the fee of 785 euro/£670 in 2011) will be payable in advance of attending the course and before the end of May 2013.

You will be able to pay this in pounds by UK cheque to our address (listed on contact us page) or in euros by bank transfer by clicking on this link.

The remaining 30% of the fee will be expected before the final session in September 2013.

We will not be able to reimburse if you fail to attend any element of the training scheme.

Selection panel

Your application will be reviewed by the tutor/mentors on the scheme as well as a panel of European industry professionals taking part in the training programme. An excellent chance to get your name and work in front of the leading creative companies in the world.

Once you have been selected...

  1. You will receive confirmation by email that you have a place and will be sent a contract to sign and return, committing to take part in the scheme.
  2. You will then have 1 week to confirm that you would like to take your place.
  3. We will then send you details of the training schedule and book your flights.
